Checklists: What to Expect

Our no-nonsense workflow.

  • Someone has to be in charge. This works better if one person coordinates the collecting and submitting of articles, photos, logos, etc. and has the authority to make go/no go decisions over the site design, and answer any questions that may come up.
  • Figure out how many pages you need (help me choose).
  • Choose the package that fits your site.
  • Create the text for each of your pages (this can be rough, we will proof it before it goes live)
  • Gather the images/photos/graphics you want to include in the pages (you must have permission to use copyrighted content).
  • Register the domain name(s) for your web site.
  • Now you're ready to buy. Go to http://209software.com/ or call (209) 825-0855 to begin your order.
  • Send in your text/graphics, and any other materials needed to complete your order.
  • You will get a confirmation page with an order number.
  • Software Services will contact you to complete the order.
  • Once payment is complete, your job will get on our schedule, and you'll receive regular updates regarding status.
  • You'll get notice when we're ready for you to proof your site.
  • Once you accept, we'll upload your site to the internet, and you're ONLINE!

Hourly projects (including all software design, website design and modifications, and database design and changes are quoted on a per-man-hour basis. The following is a generic set of steps you can expect when engaging us to create or modify your software, website, or database.

  • Make contact to create an account on our system,
  • Specify your overall needs.
  • We'll create a proposal with a cost estimate for your approval.
  • Once approved, we'll assign resources and place your project on the schedule.
  • You'll receive weekly status reports on our progress, unless we find we need more information to continue.
  • Once the work is ready, you'll receive access to it for quality testing.
  • All work is billed by actual hours worked, not on a fixed bid basis.

  • Set up your account.
  • We'll assign you a spot on one of our servers.
  • Follow our easy instructions to point your domain listing to our servers.
  • We'll send you instructions to upload your contents and data.

  • If you're purchasing/leasing a server from us...
    • Specify the server you want built to buy or lease...
    • Once online, we'll give you instructions to control the server.
  • If you're sending a server for us to host...
    • We'll call to confirm that the make/model of your server is compatible with our system.
    • Arrange transportation of the server to our location.
    • Once online, we'll give you instructions to control the server.
  • Follow our easy instructions to point your domain listing to our servers.
